Take Me Back

“Take Me Back”

— Andraé Crouch

Songwriter

The song says:

Take me back, dear Lord,

to the place where I first received You.

Take me back, dear Lord,

to the place where I first believed.

That song carries a powerful message because “Take Me Back” isn’t asking God to take us backward in life—it’s asking Him to restore something we may have lost along the way.

Sometimes we don’t need something NEW from God; we need to return to what we once KNEW with God.

Remember when we first left home and went through life’s experiences, struggles, and some hard lessons learned?

What did we fall back on?

Answer: What our parents, teachers, grandparents, coaches, mentors, etc., taught us.

And now, we find ourselves at yet another crossroads in time. Maybe we need to go back—to where we first believed—before we move forward.

But this time, let’s take God’s path.

No more wandering in the wilderness.

No more trying to figure everything out on our own.

And this time… TRUST THE PROCESS.

Psalm 51:12 (KJV)

“Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

I feel like going on!… 🙌🏾
