John 1:1; 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
(Note: in your bible, the “W” in word is capitalized all 3 times), why? Answer: It is referring to Jesus. Jesus, as the “Word”.
Now read verse 14th in the same chapter of John.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Apostle John emphasizes all throughout the book of John that Jesus is God.
You would be surprised at the number of folks that do not know that Jesus is God. There are several groups of people right now that recognize God the father, but not Jesus. (You cannot honor the father and not honor the son).
1 John 5:7 (K J V) for there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (Other translations vary, bible study helps in explaining this)
Apostle John repeatedly tells us throughout the book of John, to “believe “in Him, meaning Jesus. John 20:31 is the theme for this and the entire book.
In our Bible study we are discussing the book of John and how the “world system” is trying to make the Word and Jesus, imperfect and into a lie, right before our eyes.
They are doing this by deceiving those that do not BELIEVE.
Bible study helps us to understand things like this a little clearer.
